Please note that there is high demand at the beginning of the study semester. If you can't log in to MyAccount, wait and try again later.

I can't log in to MyAccount!
There are several reasons why you might not be able to log in:
- System overload
- You should not activate a CID
- You can't activate your CID now
- You can't use the selected service to log in
- You have problems with your browser
System overload
When all new students want to activate their CIDs at the start of the study semester, MyAccount can become overloaded.
Please wait and try again a few hours later.
You should not activate a CID
For example, if you are taking a preparatory Summer course, you should not activate a CID for that course, as other accounts are used for these courses. You should activate your CID when you begin your regular studies.
You can't activate your CID right now
Sometimes you can log in before you can activate your CID, but MyAccount will show from which day you can activate it.
- Student at Chalmers
You can activate your CID from 3 weeks before the studies start, see New student at www.chalmers.se - Student at the University of Gothenburg and should be able to activate CID
You can usually do this 1-2 hours after you have registered for your courses in Ladok, see the Student Portal at the University of Gothenburg - Employee
You can activate your CID from 2 weeks before the employment starts
You can't use the selected service to log in
There are several reasons for this, some are:
- We can't identify you
Personal identity number may be missing in the login service or in our system. (We can handle fictitious personal numbers from, for example, Ladok) - Your CID is already activated
Applies, for example, to antagning.se / universityadmissions.se that only can be used to activate your CID. - You have not verified your identity
For example, eduID and Freja+ must be verified for your Swedish personal identity number.
You have problems with your browser
If it should work, try, for example, with another device or browser, for more tips see:
What should I do if I can't activate my CID?
If you have problems activating your CID see:
- Students: Activate CID – Guide & FAQ
- Others: Activate CID – Overview
Please note:
If you are taking a preparatory Summer course, you should not activate a CID for the preparatory course. You will actviate your CID when you begin your regular studies.
What do I do if I forgot my password?
You can set a new password for your CID by logging in to MyAccount using one of the available login services.
If you’re unable to log in to MyAccount, there are other ways to get a new password:
Please note:
Your antagning.se / universityadmissions.se account can only be used to activate your CID – not to change the password.
How do I get eduID or Freja?
If you have a Swedish personal identity number, you can use eduID and Freja+ to log in to MyAccount.
See the respective service for how to get it:
Please note that you must verify your identity (Swedish personal identity number) within the service, not just create an account, to be able to log in to services like MyAccount and Ladok.
